This kit includes everything you need to create a custom skateboard for a cool ride around town. Mongoose's Build-a-Board set includes two 9-ply maple decks (measuring 31 by 8 inches), two sets of wheels, one set of 5-inch heavy-duty trucks, one set of ABEC 5 bearings, and all of the tools needed to assemble the board. Heat transfer graphics will complete the look and you'll be ready to roll.

Looks great, fun to put together!
»
I know others have claimed these decks break easily, and that may be true. But if you have a 7 or 8 year-old who isn't jumping yet but is just learning, this is a great buy. Our son is just learning balance and steering, and so far these have really held up well for him. They look nice, and he had some "extra" fun helping his Dad put the trucks and wheels on. So, if you want to jump and do tricks, listen to the others who've had bad luck. If you just have a kid who wants to learn how to ride and put a board together, it's great!

Great set for the price.
»
The decks are nice, the bearings need grease, the decals provided leave a little to be desired. They're great for starter to nivice skaters. The first thing to break is usually the deck, with this you get two.

Great product!

I bought this for my brother for Christmas and he LOVES it! He is an avid skateboarder and absolutely loves building things and putting things together. He's proud of his skateboard because he built it, which helps him keep it clean and take care of it.
This is an amazing toy for anyone who enjoys skating or building things!

the build a board arrived in time for christmas and in great shape, my nephew was very excited about this gift and the price was very reasonable. I will be shopping amazon more often instead of draggin my children to the stores for future christmas gifts, birthday gifts ect.
thanks for making shopping easy and for the feeling of safety in my purchase.

Both decks badly warped!!
»
Wheels don't lie flush with the ground due to warp. bearings popped their protective shield within an hour. Looked like it had been returned once as well.
STAY AWAY!!
