Product description

New 20X & 10X Chrome Plated Eye Loupe. This is a new dual power loupe made of optical glass with a swing-away, chrome plated case. The shape allows it to rest comfortably in the eye socket. This has become the standard style of loupe used in the watch making industry and is excellent for any application where magnification is needed. It is 10X power on one end and 20X power on the other. The 20X has a 12 mm lens and the 10X has a 18 mm lens. The 10X lens has a focal distance of 1" (25 mm) and the 20X lens has a focal distance of 1/2" (13 mm) These are second over runs from china. This could be 17 or 18 mm or double or triple lens and it may be misprinted. This is a great bargain at an inexpensive price. Please no e-mails with request because we can make no guarantees.

« Nice Loop for someone trying to find a quality diamond »
Pretty solid construction, and although the quality of the lens wasn't as good as the professional loops, do you really expect it out of one that's 1/10th the price? Would recommend if you want to start looking for diamonds for an engagement ring and are buying your diamonds through online sources like blue nile, just so you can make sure you're getting what you ordered.

I got this for a present and when they opened it up it fell apart, just that quick you cant blame Amazon but they should check out some of this stuff. But they have a good return policy.

    « Eh, it's ok... »
This item wasn't the best, but it worked ok. One of the lenses flopped around while the other one stuck too tightly in the case.

« You get what you pay for I guess.... »
This is a nice item but has a serious flaw the smaller lens hinge easily snaps when just extracting it so it ends up quite loose after and does not stay anymore in its protective casing. If it was not for this major flaw in craftmanship, it would be a good item. And I only got it today.

« Probably works but not for what I wanted »
My intention was to use this to examine small bugs and inserts, so I could ID them. Well, this thing doesn't really seem do any more than I could do sticking my eye close to the critter in question, so I didn't find it useful. Maybe it's good for rocks? Anyway, for the price it's ok, and it is quite small, making it easy to carry around, and the lenses fold back under a protective cover, so you can leave it in your pocket or bag without worries. Anyway, for what I want to do, I guess I'll have to get a 100X microscope.
