Inspired by the movie, this enchanting horse-drawn carriage lights up and plays a song from the movie. It's shaped like a big, beautiful glowing gem with wheels that really move. The fantastical glittery horse leads, decked out in royal accessories. Fits one Barbie doll with a bench for a sparkling pet, all not included. Requires 3 "AA" batteries, included.

Barbie Diamond Horse & Carriage
»
My kids love this toy. It is so colorful! The horses hair is purple!
Drawbacks are: The glitter; it get every where and the top of the carriage where the batteries go does not go back on (unless I broke it. I do not see anything that looks broken). So the part of the top (or crown) of the carriage that is pink with a blue crystal looking jewel on top, I cannot get that back on the carriage. As far as educational? It strenghtens the imagination.

Santa Almost Didn't Come This Year
»
My daughter asked two different Santas for this toy only a week before Christmas. Toys R Us, Sears and Walmart were the major stores that carried it, but all three were out of stock. The toy had an average price between 44 and 49 bucks, Walmart had it on sale for a short time after Thanksgiving for 20 bucks and then raised it back up to 49 bucks. There were several crooked stores online who attempted to take advantage of the shortage, trying to make a ridiculous profit in that last week or two before Christmas pricing it between 79 and 249 bucks. Amazon kept it's own price within acceptable range of the average, but they were giving an estimated ship date of February 2. That wasn't going to work and i wasn't going to pay up to 600% as much and let the crooks profit. It seemed as though we were going to just have to tell her Santa couldn't give her what she asked for - Guess he just wasn't real after all.
Continued to check different Walmarts over and over. Had pretty much given up all hope of finding one, stopped by one last Walmart on Christmas Eve and got lucky. They had just put 4 on the shelf. They were 49 bucks, but at least Santa's rear-end was saved.
Jingle All The Way
She loves her toy, and she still loves Santa.
:-)
(ps: The little blue gem on the top of the carriage pops off too easy, it will probably get lost sooner or later, but 'oh well')

This is a $20.00 Toy at Walmart. The $109 price tag here on Amazon must be a mistake.

Great Addition to the collection
»
We got this for $20 (Ridiculous to pay anymore for it-seeing how it's JUST A CARRIAGE and it doesn't really DO anything.) Even $40 w/ the doll is out there, you can buy Melody separately for $5 at Wal*Mart. Anyway the Carriage is a great addition to the diamond castle collection, the horse has little wheels on the bottom to make it glide across the floor (Much better than when I was little[I use my husbands account]) My daughters love taking Liana and Alexa to the castle and having them sing in it.
