Can't get it to load
»
The CD installed fine. The Race the World download took a while, so my kids were eager to play by the time it finished. Every time we try to 'Race the World' we get a black screen then it blips off. I've tried uninstalling both, restarting the computer. The turbo drive controller works on the website. My computer has plenty of memory space. As Jem noted in a prior review, there is little support for the product. There's no info, tips, or contacts on hotwheels.com. So I'm looking to you for help. Any ideas?

I May Never Get My Nephew's Attention Again
»
I handed this game controller to my eight year old nephew over Christmas break to keep him entertained and didn't see him again for several hours after his father helped him connect it and start playing. Relatives came, relatives left- I don't think Max noticed as he was too involved in navigating turns and listening to the music of the game. I asked him how he liked it and without blinking or looking from the screen he told me it was really cool, a lot of fun, and could I please move as I was blocking the light. I think he liked it.

Fun Computer Game
»
My 9 year old son got this for his birthday along with some other video games and he plays with this almost every day. I have even played with it from time to time. We only gave him the controller and he is already talking about getting the shark and tank cars.
My wife and I did find all the cars at such retailers as Wal-Mart and Target. Cars were under $5.00 each at those stores. With the controller and cars our total cost was around $70.00 which is a little more than a Wii game. The added fun is the cars.
I read some reviews about having trouble getting the disc to download but we had no trouble at all.

Very nice and friendly game/toy
»
I have bought this toy for my 5 years old nephew because he wanted it. At first, I thought it's just like the other boring games that you plug-in in the tv but I was wrong. First, the companion CD is really straightforward and easy to install. The software that came with CD is easy to navigate throught even for a 5 years old. The game itself, is really challenging and you have lots of fun. I would recommend it even for adults.

I love this game.
»
My 6 year old son bought this game. He has really enjoyed playing it. Here is what he thinks of the game in his own words.
This game is awesome. There are eight different cars. They all have there own short-cuts for each race.
The Shark Cruiser can go thru an under water short cut in the Island race. The Invader can go thru snow in the Artic race. The Arachamna Rod can drive on spider webs in the Jungle race. The Jet Threat 4.0 can fly thru its short cuts on the Sky race. The RD04 can surf over lava in the Volcano race. The Drift King can jump over a building for its short-cut in the Urban Street race. The Dune Buggy can go on sand track cars can't go on in the Desert race. The Nascar has no short-cuts.
Go and buy it. You will really like it.
