I don't exactly understand the big deal. Its a ball that snaps open to be an animal. Its not soft, except for the feel of the outside. She has 4. Some smell good, some barely even smell at all. But, my 5 year old absolutely adores them and it is the only thing she asked Santa for this year. I guess you'd have to be a kid to understand. This is not an educational toy, and the DVD is a joke. More like an extended commercial. It was nothing more than one short scene that had a song. Everything else on the DVD was ads.

This toy really doesn't do much of anything. Its either a ball or a very hard little animal. I bought one for my grandson and my youngest daughter and both kinda looked at them and tossed them aside.
